Data transfer ME10 to DWG(Autocad)

Hello All,
My requirement is to convert ME10 files in DWG (Autocad) format without any changes or dataloss.Though there is provision to do so,current method is time consuming and output is without proper layer settings.

Is there any macros to do same which will work much fast and ensure
converion as photocopy of original without dataloss.

Thanks
kishor.

Simple forum search yields:

Basically, you need to run the DWG converter executable from a batch file, and make sure that the converter's config file fits your needs.

The links Claus posted will help make the translation faster and easier, but I don't know of any way to automatically verify that the translation was 100% effective. You can check the log files for errors but even if there were no errors that is not a guarantee that the DWG files will look exactly like the original MI files.

Be sure to read about translation limitations (along with information on translation configuration settings) found in the Readme.htm file located in your dxfdwg install directory.
Remember that this is a TRANSLATION between two completely different systems. Your data must be mapped to it's nearest equivalent, so 100% compatibility is not always possible.

Data transfer in ME10 can be a task that will require a lot of skilled work, i think it is nice to go with the predefined work.

There is a very good tool called Spicer-Imagination. It's been re-named OpenText.

http://www.opentext.com/2/global/products/products-content-viewing-solutions

We have used this to easily convert .MI files over to DWG/DXF
