DA/Nastran Ram Limited?

Does one benefit from having 2gb of ram with a corresponding increase in the total number of nodes and hence an ability to solve larger problems? SD by itself has a 1gb limit but does that apply to the Nastran engine in DA? I'm using the unlimited node module.

re: DA/Nastran Ram Limited?

Hi Keith, If you use WinNT workstation, you cannot set more than 2gig for virtual memory. That means, if you have 2gig of ram, you don't need any swap space on your disk. I know it's suppose to have a limit on Unix, but I don't remember how much is it. Regards
