Hi Shaba,

You could use the built-in PDF printer of ME10 (you can define the location and name of the file in the print-dialog), or you can change the settings of bullzip.
In the general tab of the bullzip options you can specify the name (and location) of the file, or you can set 'Save as - Dialog' to 'Always' on the dialog-tab. This way bullzip will always ask you to provide a document name and location.

Re: [Me10] Print PDF -> Always Me10.pdf

Hi Shaba,

I don't think you can set the filename of the pdf for bullzip from within ME10 (or you will have to change the windows registry). You can let bullzip generate unique numbers by adding special 'fields' to de pdf-name (like time). If you want to set the drawingname by a macro you will have to use the built-in PDF printer. When you print you can select 'PDF_GENERIC' as the printer, and in the destination-field you can set the path to the file. You can probably set these fields from within a macro (I don't know the exact commands).

Re: [Me10] Print PDF -> Always Me10.pdf

I don't have 'PDF_GENERIC'...
It is because i use unix-like interface?

This an enahement that can be asked to wish list?

Re: [Me10] Print PDF -> Always Me10.pdf

Hi Shaba,

I'm not sure when this feature was introduced, so it might be unavailable in 15 (but I know it is available in 15.50 and newer). Running the classic-ui might also be the problem. I have never used the classic-ui on windows, so I don't know if that is causing the limitation. Can't you switch to mixed-ui? Or are there to many problems with such a switch?

Re: [Me10] Print PDF -> Always Me10.pdf

Yes!
I found it ('PDF_GENERIC') on windows interface, but not on classic-ui
I never use windows interface and i don't want to change not.
I prefer actually solution.

It will ve very intresting know there is standard name Me10.pdf and to see if there is some way to change it.

tnx

Re: [Me10] Print PDF -> Always Me10.pdf

PDF_Generic exists in the Classic UI as well.
In the plot menu, select the "configure" button and in the Plot Configuration menu is a list which contains PDF_GENERIC.

This has been there for many versions, including the latest.

Use trace to figure out what's going on when you trigger your current print to pdf action.

you don't neet to change your current UI when you use the standard Drafting plot action, but PLOTTER_TYPE should be set to PDF (and some other things)

It sounds like you would be glad to have a button (with a macro behind) which just prints current drawing to $TEMP/<name-of-current-drawing>.pdf

That's not impossible.

look at http://www.biopdf.com/screenshots.php#tabsavegeneral last image.

The default for file name seemed to be <personal>\<title>.pdf

<personal> seems to point to 'my documents' to say it in Window'isch.

<title> is the title (?) of the program printing via BullZip PDF Printer

but in your case there might be something like <programmname> or so. because "ME10" is NOT the title of Drafting V15, but the name of the executable, At least by default, but this can be customized via me10.ini (another way to adjust the name )

So as the screen shots tells you: press the "<>" button for further advanced customization of the PDF file name used by default.

Which version of "PDF Printer" are you using?

To make it clear: I have NOT installed this PDF Printer!

should be sufficient , so without the display_no_wait

I haven't heard about it: setx.exe before
Creates or modifies environment variables in the user or system environment, without requiring programming or scripting. The Setx command also retrieves the values of registry keys and writes them to text files.
setx.exe

--------------------
do you have that "< >" button in Bullzip PDF Printer? what's displayed over there? Screen shot?
