Pre, Post, Super and Subfix

Hi All
I am a daily user of ME10 for producing 2D customer and production drawings. The 2D drawings i make is containing both the customer drawing in one layer and the production drawing in another layer.

So here is my problem:
When dimensioning it is sometimes nessesary to add Pre, Post, Super or Subfix to the actual dimension. In cases where the Pre, Post, Super or Subfix only is an production information, is it possible to put only the Pre, Post, Super or Subfix into the other layer???

Thus i want to keep the actual dimension in one layer and the added Pre, Post, Super or Subfix in another layer.

I thank you all in advance.

Hello Halborgkjaer,

I believe that this is not possible.
You have to use the "SELECT" command to append a info / layer to an element.
But this command only knows "DIMENSION" and does not distinguish the sub-elements.

Workaround:
Use normal text for the Pre, Post, Super or Subfix and attach it with the command "GROUP" to the dimension.
If you move the DIMENSION then also the texts move.
The texts you can then give their own layers.
Good luck with it.

Hi Halborgkjaer,

Classic UI in Modify_2
Windows UI in Modify/Groups
Ribbon in Modify/Groups

And you should read the Help about it

Good luck with it.

Re: Pre, Post, Super and Subfix

Hi again!

Were currently using the WUI setup of ME10. When I slide through both the menu windows and the help webside file:///C:/Program%20Files/CoCreate/OSD_Drafting_2005/locale/en/me_help/me_frame.htm?DELETE I don't seem to find the below:

Classic UI in Modify_2
Windows UI in Modify/Groups
Ribbon in Modify/Groups

Is it possible that our software is outdated? Currently using software release 13.20B 4-Dec-2005. We have a build'in ECR toolbar wich generate lots of problems if sofware update is executed.

The GROUP command is shown for the first time in the v16 Help

Re: Pre, Post, Super and Subfix

Hi again

Okay, well then there's not much to do, hopefully we will soon have the update, but unfortunately, I doubt it.

Many, many thanks for your help! Maybe I'll get back to you if we need other daily problems solved, if it's okay with you.
