Solid Designer v11 running on Window 7 - 64 bit machine

Hi,

I wanted to install CoCreate Solid Designer version 11 on a new Window Workstation/Laptop (64 bit machine) with Window 7 professional installed.

But could not install because it said the Solid Designer is ONLY for 32 bit machine (something like that) during installation process.

Are there any patches available or other solutions available to make it run in native mode on 64 bit Window 7 machine?

I tried the XP mode on my machine but it is almost useless because the graphics rendering is sooooo slow. I also tried Oracle VM virtual box manager but it is not too reliable..

Any help/lead would be appreciated.

32-bit OS can run 32-bit software. Try that. May need to run Win7 32-bit OS in XP mode for CoCreate v11 to work.

Re: Solid Designer v11 running on Window 7 - 64 bit machine

I was able to install the Oracle VM virtual box and install XP in it and be able to install the CoCreate v11 but it is about same as running XP mode in Window 7.

I was looking to see if there are any software patch from CoCreate that would allow the user to use the native 64 bit Window 7 machine..

How did others transition into 64 bit Window 7 machine? Were they forced to upgrade to later versions of CoCreate Solid designer?

There is a patch, but it's called Version 17.00 or later.
