ME10 Drafting - query subfix dimension
Hello to everybody,
I want to query a dimension to know if is there a subfix (or superfix). In my macro, I use INQ_SELECTED_ELEM ALL to obtain all information and loop check if there is a dimension. Then, with (inq xxx) I can know almost all aspect of that dimension but I can't query any information about SUBFIX/SUPERFIX . In the help file I am not able to find out any information. Thanks in advance for any suggestion . Regards. |

Re: ME10 Drafting - query subfix dimension
I have run into similar problems, there are several Dimension attributes that don't seem to have any INQ code to inquire them. I even wrote a macro which tried all the numerical codes to see if there were any undocumented codes that contained the info I was looking for. It did find some undocumented codes but not for the info I wanted.

Re: ME10 Drafting - query subfix dimension
John,
I am surprise to discover that is not possible query information on objects in 2D drawings. Another surprise is discover that in the file “chp4.htm” (2D Application interface) there is the sentence: The 2D AI contains all functions to create, modify, delete and inquire 2D model elements and their connections (topology) except dimensions. And no other information are available. I hope that I am not able to find the information. Regards. GiorgioL |

Re: ME10 Drafting - query subfix dimension
What information would you like to see about the subfix/superfix of the dimension?

Re: ME10 Drafting - query subfix dimension
Hello Tom,
in the image an exaple of what I want query. As you can see, there are four "information" (Superfix, Subfix, Prefix and Postfix) that I want query on a macro. For instance I need to make a list of dimension with diameter symbol for our quality department (diameter is a prefix). No informations are available on the help and no informations are available on Application Interface. The four informations, usually, are texts so my goal is inquiring on the "value" of the text (in this case "Superfix", "Subfix" ....). Regards, GiorgioL. |
