Open new Me10 session from macro

Hi,

I use vers. 13.20
We use a macro to find and load files in to the active me 10 session.

LOAD laddfil

What i would like to do now, is for the macro to open a new Me 10 session, with help from the filepath specified in the macro.

How can i do this?

In the Classic User Interface you can go to the file menu and click the button "ToNewInst". You can enter path/filename on the command line or you can open the filebrowser and pick one.

In the Windows User Interface You can click:
File => New => Dwg in New Window and pick the file you want to open in a new session.

We use Windows interface, and i can do like you wrote:

File => New => Dwg in New Window and pick the file you want to open in a new session.

But it doesn't help me much, i'm sorry to say.Unless i can in some way extract the "Dwg in New Window"-function, and use it in my macro?

Does anyone use a Macro that starts a external Program?
(it would be very useful to see the code)

Hello Tobias.

If you start up the Classic User Interface and go to the file menu you can see the code used to open a new window. The button "ToNewInst" actually starts a macro. If you enter EDIT_MACRO on the command line and then click the button, you will see the code.
