ME10 .mi file transfer
Is there any way I can get old 2d files from me10 that I believe are .mi files to read as any common file format like dxf?
Thanks, Bruce |

Re: ME10 .mi file transfer
Hi Bruce,
it's not easy when the data are stored in compressed format. What do you want? Make Dxf of it? Are that many files? I think it is easier to translate the files for you than to tell you how you can do it yourself. |

Re: ME10 .mi file transfer
Try to use 7.zip to uncompress MI files. Then, translate to any DXF, DWG, or anything else, with Drafting.

Re: ME10 .mi file transfer
There is indeed a software out there at does this rather easily and painless. It is Imagination by Spicer. OpenText is the new name for it. It is MORE than just a viewer, it's a modifing translator as well. You can even archive and print from the software too. MI files are read in natively.
http://www.opentext.com/2/global/pro...top-viewer.htm We use this very often from MI to DXF/DWG and to CGM. We have several customers that require CGM format. Also, the program will read in PDF files. If the PDF data was created using vector data, that can be saved out as DXF/DWG too. Sort of reverse engineering the PDF, even on LOCKED PDF files! Hope this helps ...
