Moving text in Annotation
When moving text in Annotation you should have the option to move Horz., Vert, 2 points ...etc not just dynamic. Similar to the move view dialog box. Also the option to move text to a different owner.

Work around currently available
Gary,
I agree that for a consistant UI there should be a text specific move that allows the user to specify horizontal, vertical, etc. like move view has now. But you can accomplish these things for text with a slightly different command. Edit - Move Elements lets you move any type of element (e.g. text, geometry, sketches) or a mixed group of elements (i.e. a table made up for text and geometry that has not been grouped as a sketch) with options like two points, vertical, horizontal, and dynamic. It also offers the option to make a copy. Plus Move Elements allows you to assign a new owner to your selection with or without moving it from its original location. Overall it's a pretty useful command, though it's a little hidden away! HTH!

Thanks for the workaround. I thought this was so basic that the capability shoud already be there, but like you said it is sort of hidden away.

It's a good idea to move/copy the MOVE ELEMENT icon into the utility tool bar (next to ok/cancel) Then it's not hidden any more.
BTW: for unix users it's available in the bottom area. So it's always there. |

Michael Kahle sent me a note indicating that Wolfgangs suggestion was added in version 12. The Move icon has been added to the Utility toolbar. Thanks Michael.
If anyone discovers any other Enhancements which were added in v12 or the new v13 let us know.
