When saving 3D-model, saved thumbnail only with selected SD-objects
When you have a 3D-assy in a SD-viewport and you will save only one part of the assy, the whole 3D-assy will be viewed in the saved thumbnail (version 11)
I write a macro that viewed only the saved 3D-part (or assy) in the thumbnail (fit in the thumbnail-window). I think this is for many compagny's useful. Last edited by erikkooyman; 01-28-2004 at 06:16 AM. |

Would you please share this marco?
It might be helpful in OSD. Is there possible to add into OSD standard function in the future?

This functionality already exists with Model Manager 2004 (v12). Thumbnails can be taken individually or recursively at a sub-assembly level. Draw-only and fit is also implemented so the model image is as big as the thumbnail.
If you're talking about the Goodie functionality (load "capt_viewport"), this goodie was intended to act just like the program SnagIt - screenshots on demand. We implemented thumbnails into ModelManager so users wouldn't have to worry about another file, an image file. Especially when you have an assemblies of 50 parts or more.
