View Properties -> Visibility Tab Settings
My first step was to base a new design from an old one. So, the 3D model was copied over and the drawing .mi as a new variant to the new model.
So far so good. Upon doing a View > Manage > Update, a certain section view blew up. This section is a staggered type. I've tried to re-create it from scratch, however, I get the same pending results as the update gave. So, here's the problem. While doing a click on the troubled view and going to the View Properties > Visibility tab, there are selections to display or hide certain types of lines. HOWEVER, there is something I need to turn on, but can not seem to find it there. The ability to show background lines in the direction of the section arrows. Take a look at the original base model .mi view and then the new .mi file images attached. How do you turn on the section background geometry?

Re: View Properties -> Visibility Tab Settings
For me it looks like you have created a "section surface only" section view. That way only areas with hatches are displayed.. everything else is left.
For the moment I don't have running OSD in front of my. But looking into online help shows that you can search for this expression . And chapter "Create a section view" shows 3 pictures with that mode. In the section TAB of view Properties there the 'Surface mode' option. Depending on the parent of your section the option 'Previous sections ' might have an influence, too. I have been looking for this in the 16.00 help files. ---------------------------------------------------- also be aware of the direction you are looking to the section line. The arrows at the section line are pointing in different directions depending on the standard. --- The right half of where you have lines in the new section view already differs heavily from the original one. (this might be okay, but I can not judge without the parent view or the model)

Re: View Properties -> Visibility Tab Settings
Well, after a call to CoCreate support, the problem was the result of having a corrupt model. When the section crossed over the corrupt surface, the strange section appeared.
To fix the problem of the corruption, I saved the model as a .SAT file and pulled it into SolidWorks. The corruption was fixed using the SolidWorks repair/mending tools. Then the file was re-entered into CoCreate with everything working great like usual. The section went in like a champ.
