Saving customized frames in Annotation

Hello everyone! I need specific help with saving customized frames into the Annotator. I have been able to customize the am_customize file with the function docu-register-frame because I can see and choose my new frame in Annotator. The problem is when I choose the frame in Annotator nothing appears on the screen. I have checked my path name, which appears to be correct. I have successfully loaded an existing .mi drawing form from ME10 into the Annotator with the import .mi option in the load menu, but I am having difficulty in saving the imported .mi file as a frame. I am sure it is an oversight on my part. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! Theresa

re: Saving customized frames in Annotation

We did the customizing in the following way: For each frame I created a drawing in ME10, defining the TOP and all subparts as SYMBOL and stored all the drawings in the desired directory. After the registration via docu-register-frame all worked flawlessly. My suggestion is to check the syntax of the registration: (docu::docu-register-frame :ui-name "displayed name" :file "path/filename") If the parameter :file is not given, the corresponding frame will be empty except one point representing it. This could be useful if you want to create a drawing without a specific frame. Hope this helps.

re: Saving customized frames in Annotation

Theresa, I am having the same problem. I created the frame in annotation and saved it as a 2d .mi file. I see it in my list of frames however, when it comes up it flashes and then goes away. What did you do to fix yours? Thanks for any help you can give me. Gary J
