DWG to MI, increasing size.

Hello!
I'm new using Me10 and I noticed when I receive a DWG file from customer (6MB) I open it in Me10 and when I saving them the size increase (22MB) for both *DWG and *MI files format. Is it the correct procedure? when the file is 22MB, it takes a lot of time to open the drawing ... what should I check to keep a reasonable size?
Many thank.
Marco.

Dear Marco,
Check if there is any OLE. The OLE can lead to very big files.

Re: DWG to MI, increasing size.

Thanks Gerard,
OK, I will check this on Autocad side, you mean? The problem is raised when I convert from MI to DWG as final step.
So is something added from MI to DWG.
Marco.

Re: DWG to MI, increasing size.

I mean, check it on ME10 :
Insert > OLE > OLE Browser ...
If you have nothing in the dialog, there is no OLE.

If not, you can safely delete them all, type : DELETE SELECT OLES ALL CONFIRM
