Match Dimensions

Hi all,

I'm using Co-Create Drafting 17.0 and I got a doubt whether is there any option to do Match the display properties of a Dimension to any other dimension like how we do it in A-CAD?

Re: Match Dimensions

If I'm understanding correctly, you can "grab" and "apply" style.
Go to Dimension > Style and there you'll find grab and apply.
Grab the style from one dimension and apply it to others.

Re: Match Dimensions

Basically you want the font, text size, aspect ratio, color, coma/decimal, and the like to take on the same properties as a defining dimension is already setup on the drawing in Annotation.

Yes, this can be done in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, UGNX, and many other systems.

It's not all that straight forward doing in CoCreate, but it can be done.

- Pick the primary dimension with the correct properties.
- Right click and select Dim Properties
- Copy To ...
- Press F2 or select the icon arrow
- Click start
- Pick all of the dimensions to match the primary
- Click End
- Check mark all you need in the Copy Dim Properties menu box for the matching.
- Click OK

Compared to AutoCAD and UGNX, this is a great deal of clicking and manuvering around menus.

Re: Match Dimensions

Hey, it seems that Gary has another way to do it. Guess we were both working on a reply at the same time.

Re: Match Dimensions

Well, the good thing about my method is this, What if you only want all of your dimes to match certian things rather than all like a near clone? My method would be ideal.

The good thing is, those in the future who will search out this topic will have the two best answers. LOL
