Dimensions on layers

I have an AutoCad user who would like to have the ability to turn on/off all the dimensions. Would anyone be able to tell me the best possibilities to do this?

re: Dimensions on layers

Try this:

show dimensions off

or use the new command

wui_show

Best regards, Giorgio

re: Dimensions on layers

Hi Theresa, I think what you want to do is assign a layer number to a dimension, right? So that in ACAD the dimension can be turned on/off like ME-10's command as Giorgio described. Open the Property/Layers menu or dialog and use the "Change" command. Assign a number then pick the dimension. You may be able to box around an area by using a select option but I haven't tried that. However, I was successful in assigning a layer number to an individual dimension and turning it off with a layer command. Good Luck. Bruce
