Fea software

Dear all,
I have to select a FEA software in order to improve the design method in my company.
I'm using CoCreate modeling and I would like to know if the fea mudule is capable of doing linear and no-linear analysis, fatigue analysis, mechanical and structural analysis on a sigle component and in a assembly.

Do I have to go directly on a tool like Ansys?

Thanks

Ansys is a great tool. However, will the cost justify the number of times you will need to use it? If not, then find a third party source that has Ansys to work along side of you for your project.

Re: Fea software

The FEA Module in Modeling supports linear statics, normal modes, steady state heat transfer and combined thermal/statics of parts or assemblies. It does not support non-linear.

You might also want to explore the PTC Mechanica product (not sure what it is called under the new Creo regime). Modeling currently supports export to the Mechanica file format. It is likely there will be better integration between Modeling and Mechanica as time goes on. I don't know the price, but it is probably cheaper than Ansys.

Re: Fea software

I started with "CoCreate FE Analysis" Integrated in Modeling.
Very good to begin!
But limited to linear static studies.
This year, I have upgraded my FE Analysis to Creo Elements Direct Advanced Mechanica, for an amazing price (only 3500 €) and now, I have a superior solution!

Just saying the title takes the breath out of a person .... Creo Elements Direct Advanced Mechanica

I can say Ansys in one word. LOL

I agree with the name, at least drop elements if nothing else.

Creo direct
Creo Pro
Creo direct mechanica.

etc.
