Anybody out there using Oracle10g with CoCreate Manager Server 16.00?
If so, have you installed the Jan 2008 Oracle Critical Patches?
Do users have to be logged off of Model Manager to run these patches?

Thanks

Yes, we use the Oracle 10G with ModelManager v16. I don't know which patch you mean, but I know you need to upgrade Oracle 10G to version 10.2.0.4 (where v15.5 could be used with 10.2.0.3), which is what we did. When you install the patch oracle should be restarted, so yes, all users should be logged out. Otherwise they will lose the connection.

I can't recall whether you should do a database conversion, but I think so (we didn't need to do that, because we installed on a new server and restored the database after the patch was applied). This conversion also requires everybody to be logged off.

With kind regards,

Marten

Note that the Windows version of the Model Manager install for 2008 expects to run the Critical Patches as part of the DB upgrade process. The HPUX version expects the Oracle DBA to manually run the patches.
