Hi to everybody,
we are working with a customer has installed OSM V1500B.
He set up the "file storage area" to a wrong value ...

you need to change the path of Storage Areas in file server page (http://localhost:9899/) to set the rigth value?

Thanks all,
Nadia

Hi Nadia,

first a question: Is the Database a new one or was the wrong path entered by an Update ???

1.) If it was a new instance, you can change the storage area by changing the Registry
a.) Stop Fileserver
b.) Change Item: Areas in:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\CoCreate File Server] -- e. g:
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\CoCreate File Server]
"Areas"="U:\\oracle\\DBAREAS\\WM4\\area1"
c.) Move Storages Areas e.g. area1 to the new Position
d.) Restart FileServer ...

If you entered the wrong Path by an Update, you will have two areas1 Directories - the old one and the new one cretaed by schama update. I am not shure, but if this happend, you recover the database ...

The file server can support more than one file storage area. If you can keep track of multiple storage areas in future updates then you can add the missing file storage area to the file server.
