ModelManager - Export Masterdata

ModelManager has the option of right-clicking the masterdata field and exporting to a folder. There seems to be three types of files that are consistently created:

.SD
.SD_Lightweight Model.gfx
.jpg

I am not sure what can be done with the above files.

Basically, we are looking to transfer MM data from our database to a contractor running MM and back to us. Is the above files something we could use to successfully do this? If not does anyone have any ideas? I know .SDEXP is an option.

.SDEXP is the designed exchange format

.SD is the actual model
.SD_Lightweight Model.gfx is the Lightweight version of the model
.jpg is the Thumbnail image
