View Full Version : Finding what model goes with what drawing?

I have a user that has a drawing with 2 views on it. One view comes from one model's view set, while the other view comes from a different model's view set.

One view is dark blue (up to date), the other is red (model not loaded).

How can we determine what model is missing?

Clicking on the view properties on the red view just lists "no 3D representation"

Going into Model Manager "Model Status" lists the model for the up-to-date view, but nothing else.

I just tried this with a test drawing containing views from two models, each with their own viewsets. When I delete one of the models from my OSD session (makings sure both parts and drawing are already saved into MM), I right click on the red view items in the Drawing Browser and choose Model Manager>DB Properties (Drawing)>Model Status. This brings up the parent model for the view from MM in a window. I can double click the icon and load the part into my session.

If the "missing" model is not in MM, though, I'm not sure how to find it.

My guess is, then, that the user who created this drawing forgot to save the model with the disassociated view after the drawing was created.

Thanks for the input,
Steve
