Hi,

is anyone using MSC.visualNastran Motion or Working Model 3D in combination with OneSpace Designer?
Our development dept. is looking for a good kinematics program, and we'd like to know how well data transfer between the 2 programs is.

Thanks!

We use visual nastran often. The FEA is limited, but works well as a general indicator of potential problems. The motion modeling is excellent. We transfer using ACIS (sat). The transfer is satisfactory, except the lost colors and part names.

We have also used the time bomb export of parasolids with excellent results. This process lets the user keep the colors and properties assigned in SolidDesigner. However; the cost and maintenance is very high and unless you use visual nastran often, the cost is not worth it.
