Searching using wildcard characters

Hi all

I'm a new user of model manager and I have a question about search command:
can I use "wildcard" characters?
I mean "*" or "?" works fine, but are they the only wildcard available?
I searched in MM manual and I asked at telephone help line, unsuccessfully.
I would like to search: ABC* -*SAL
That mean: search everything that begin by "ABC" less everything that end by "SAL"
Can I do that?

It is not possible to setup a query that returns elements which match a sequence except for some elements which match a different sequence.
