It would be a big help to have the ability to use different spotlight colors for parent parts and child parts. Right now, only one spotlight color is definable (for all parts other than the current part). One can always view an isolated part (with its subparts) but in a large assembly this is not very helpful; one must be able to see the part and its subparts distinctly from the rest of the assembly, while in the full assembly context.
A possibly useful variation of this idea would be to have an option to have spotlight colors that are keyed to part hierarchy level, rather than parent/child relationship
