We are updating our CAD-workstations and I have been doing some research concerning processors. So far we have been using Intel processors but in recently AMD has had good test results in CAD applications. Now I'm trying to find information how AMD 64 is working with ME 10 ver 8.7g. Will there be serious problems? How in general different AMD processors (XP,Athlon,FX) are working together with older ME 10 versions?

I'm running gigabyte ga-k8ns pro with win2000, everything runs great. I have 2 gig of ram which is sufficient for our large models. We plan to upgrade to xp 64 a little later down the road when more drivers and windows programs are written for the 64 bit processors.

I have tested ME10 8.7g with AMD's 64 bit processor Athlon 3500+.
There were no problems and the speed is very well.

The only restriction I can think of is that you may not be able to install old versions of ME10 when running under Windows XP x64. As long as you are running a 32-bit version of the OS, however, ME10 will run just fine.
