I have a user who has been saving parts into Model Manager but I've noticed that there is no Masterdata to the parts he has saved. Does anyone know why this is occuring.

Thanks

Hmm. By default, each document gets new Masterdata entries created. At our company, we have disabled this behavior (only parts with part numbers get Masterdata in our use model, not subparts or parts of inseparable assemblies) via a switch in our XML file (I think).

The only other thing I can think of is perhaps the user doesn't have the right "rights" assigned?

On this topic specifically and if you have an active support contract, I would recommend calling CoCreate Customer Support or your CoCreate Partner/VAR (Value Added Reseller).

What is... CoCreate Customer Support (http://www.cocreate.com/cust_support.cfm)
How to contact... CoCreate Customer Support (http://www.cocreate.com/contact_support.cfm)

No masterdata being created sounds like a a configuration error.

Take a look to <CreateNewParts> : if is set to false
during save of an assembly : masterdata are not created and linked to documents.

Where is <CreateNewParts> : if is set false.............
I've looked for this but unable to locate. I see nothing when I save an assy or part with Model Manager Save window. Is it under configuration somewhere?
Thank you

It should be in your configuration XML file. Do a search for CreateNewParts. Ours is set to False.
