View Full Version : more than 1 Viewport in Annotation??

Hi,

we often have to do a LOT of coordinate dimensioning on large Flat Views. For that reason I already made a tool that allows people to pick the datum point by pressing a keyboard command. However, Annotation will only pick the point if it's visible in the Viewport....
I tried the ME10 command CREATE_VIEWPORT to create an extra Viewport, but this makes a mess, because it seems to make a mix of 2 Viewports in one.... (sounds confusing? Well, it certainly LOOKS confusing...).
Is there a way of having 2 Viewports in Annotation? Then we could zoom in on the datum point in one Viewport, while zooming in on another part of the Flat View in the other Viewport.

Thanks!
Regards,
Jaap

no way.. Annotation has only one view port.

But the 1st element of a coordinate dim has only to be selected once.
So zomm to this location first start the dim command and window 'back' (or to the area wanted)

If you already have one coord dim (with that far way zero element) than you can use 'put dim in' to insert the next one.

Hhmmmm not sure whether this gives a little bit help to you.
