Hi!

Here is my enhancement request: Assembly Level Features

What this is is a geometric feature that exists at the assembly level but does not exist at the component level. Of course changes at the component level should still propagate up to the assembly levels where they are used.

For example, suppose you have a model of a cast part. This cast part is used as an component in the machined assembly (an assembly of 1 part, the casting). Any geometry modifications at that level are only seen at that level and higher, not downward to the component level.

Another example: You make a weldment assembly by joining two components together, and then the assembly is machined to a final length by removing material from each component.

This sort of functionality has been available with other CAD software for years.

This enhancement request has been turned down by CoCreate.

It is listed on their suggestion page as "Not Implemented", and the comment is "Insufficient implementation time".

This continues to make creating associative machined castings, machined weldments, or in fact virtually any machined subassembly impossible using OneSpace Designer.
