Hello,

I have a problem when i store a 3D part named with a character like é or à.

Example: In trace file there is the correct name :
C:/DOCUME~1/jm/LOCALS~1/Temp/0hgtu0c14no3a8k/
Différentiel-Différentiel.wrl'

On the harddisk there is a wrong name
DiffÅrentiel-DiffÅrentiel.wrl

I have Oracle 9.2.0.4 and Workmanager 12.01C.
I would like to know if i should change a parameter or a setting
to resolve this problem.

I workaround this problem, I change this parameter
(setq db-aip-ui::*store-vrml-enabled* nil) but I think it's a bug.

Thank you for your help.

Hi,

Characters with accents (like french chars) seems not supported through OSD Modeling. OSD Modeling uses hp roman8 (inheritance hpux) while Windows uses ISO codes. OSD Drafting fixed this through MEEXTFN comand arg, but not Modeling (what's a pity). An enhancement requests has been placed.

The file name might look funny, but it is not necessarily wrong - it simply is in a different encoding than the standard Windows encoding.

However, it sounds like you cannot store those VRML files along with your models, and that it does not work because of the accented characters. If that is the case, I 'd recommend to contact our support, and if they don't have a solution/workaround for it, have them file a bug report.
