A few years ago there was a third-party vendor that made a package that could pull information from CoCreate files for tolerance analysis (don't remember if it was Annotation or Modeling). Are there any plans for CoCreate to develop something like this? I know it was discussed maybe a year or so ago.

CETOL was brought up with regards to Pro/E and CATIA. It would be nice if there was an equivalent package for OSD.

It's called GD&T. I'm not sure if it covering all you needs, but it's there. I'm pretty sure CoCreate still having it. Give them a call. Not all reseller are good enough the sell and give train on that product.

Hope that help

You might be thinking of "Tolerance Advisor", which was an interface to the tolerance analysis package from VSA. It was not easy to use and took some training. Because of this the people who used it were often specialists rather than designers. I don't think its officially supported anymore, but if you contact your CoCreate representative you may still be able to get it.

Yes, I've talked to our CoCreate rep and you're right, it's no longer offered. There are some managers here that keep bringing up how SolidWorks has tolerance packages (and I know both Pro/E and CATIA do, too), so why doesn't OSD? I figure any package would have to make use of 3D dimensioning in OSD.

I would imagine that one of the reasons OSDM does not have or offer a true GD&T module for tolerancing 3D geometery as the other applications mentioned do, is because of the lack of using parametric consatraints or features when creating a model.

Hence when adding a parallel feature control to a face of a part and a Datum to the other, if you move or taper that face the other face should follow to that constraint attached.

Unfortunately the Parametrics module does not allow you to do this either.
