In the version 12, how can I change the virtual memory used by Designer Modeling? And in Drafting?

Thanks.

Hmmm... what do you mean by that?

Roughly speaking, the virtual memory used by an application depends on how much data you load into it. Other than that, there's not much control you have as a user.

Or maybe you are referring to the old memory-limit command in OSDM which can be used to set an artificial upper limit to the virtual memory to be allocated within OSDM?

Yes, about this command memory-limit.

There have already been several threads on memory-limit in this forum - just search for this keyword.

In a nutshell, the answer for OSDM is:

The memory-limit command still exists, but should only be used in special circumstances, such as for debugging.
OSDM will automatically use all virtual memory provided to the application by the operating system.
If you're still convinced that you need memory-limit, the syntax is (memory-limit :data xxxx) where xxxx is a number representing the memory limit in MB.

Hope this helps,

Claus

If you still want to check or change your memory limit after reading the above post, simply re-run the configuration program for OSDModeling

Start > Programs > CoCreate > OneSpace Designer Modeling 12.x.x.x > Configuration
