Mating Conditions?

Hello:

What is the functionality called in OSD that allows me to mate a component to another component in an assembly, and when one surface moves the mated component also moves to preserve that mating condition?

What module is required to do this?

Sounds like the Assembly module. It's been a while since I tinkered with it, though.

Try the Relations module. Make the assembly the owner and you can assign constraints to features of the components.

Both of the replies are correct, but the name of the module depends on the version you are running. In older versions the module was called Relations or Dynamic Relations. In newer versions it is called the Assembly module. Either way, assuming you have a license and can activate the module, you can use it to define relationships between parts that will be maintained as the parts are moved.
