We are an office of mechanical project. We are 15 users. We must change our old unix server HP D280 with o.s. hp-ux 11.00. Our philosophy is the tendency to administer server database inside without external assistence, to reduce cost.
We have OS Manager 11.61 and OSD Modeling 12.01A.
In our database there are about 150.000 elements between parts, documents, etc. and we have 170 classes.
We are uncertain between to continue with UNIX (this involve high maintenance cost with external office) or change platform passing to Win 2003 server. My preoccupation is performance and stability of Win platform, two things of high priority for us.
Does anybody help me in this decision?
