Are you aware that with version 12.0 CoCreate currently supports two different 3D IGES translators?
You can access the old IGES translator by entering the following command in your command line (activate-iges_3D). This will add a new item into your load and save options
IGES (old)
This command can be added to your sd_customize file if you wish, or you can skip this simply type in load_iges or save_iges and jump directly into the proper menus.
The use of this option is fully documented in the OSDM help pages. To learn more, first select load, set the file type to IGES, then select the Help button in the load dialog box.
