Is anyone out there using OSD R12, if so are you having any trouble with faces disappearing. I've got one engineer who has an ATI Fire GLX1 graphics card and is having trouble with faces disappearing after working in OSD for a little while. He'll select a process whether it is creating new geometry or modifying existing surfaces. When he goes to rotate the part some of the part's faces disappear and when he cancels or completes the process the faces come back.
And, when he performs several functions and undos everything he just did the system won't allow him to save the parts after he undos. Anyone experiencing any of the above?

Thanks:( :(

My guess the problem is the ATI card. check to make sure that the driver application setting is set to SolidDesigner

We have used ATI cards for awhile and then dropped them in favor of Nvidia or Wildcat cards.

We have not been real happy with ATI. They work, but not as well as other cards for cad applications.

Note that OSDM can apply different graphics modes depending on whether the user is rotating the model or just viewing it - see Edit/Settings/Graphics Settings for details. Also, model simplification for viewing uses different size thresholds, depending on whether or not the model is spun around or not.

So far, we haven't had problems like you describe them during our tests with the FireGL X1.

While the redraw issues *might* be related to the graphics card, the problems with saving parts are very unlikely to be caused by the graphics hardware or driver. When you say that "the system won't allow him to save the parts", what exactly does that mean? Do you get an error message? Crashes? Hangups?
