Are there OneSpace designer users out there that use EMbassy from Linius for wire harness design? What are your experiences?

We investigated Linius, and while the demonstration was phenomenally impressive, actually working with the system was much more labor intensive. We did a brief in house test. Based on the test and the shift in the project goals we decided not to purchase.

Hi,

We are developing a new product for Cable Harnessing with OneSpace Designer.

Our solution contains general functionality for the modeling of path-based entities such as cables, tubes, and pipes, including complete libraries and Bill-Of-Materials.

The Cable Harness module is a specialization of that capability for designing, routing, and documentation of cables and wire harnesses.
Its use within OneSpace Designer software allows you to conduct harness design at the system level in the assembly environment without needing to wait for physical prototypes.

Please contact us, if you need more informations

Herman,

we use EMbassy, I thing one year. It work very good.

We save the mechanic in VRML. The guys of the electric office load the vrml an create the harness. The harness will save in IGES.
We load the IGES with an unknown command in Modeling, so we get the harness as a face part, which is one part and not hundred parts in the Modeling. It is much easier to save this one face part to the workmanager. But I thing it is not possible to create an Annotation of this face part. We didn't need an Annotation at this time.
