I am looking for a ME10 macro that will allow a user to search a UX file system for a drawing file. Anyone have any clues?

We do this with a RUN GRAPHIC action and a hidden ´find /users /archive ...etc -name ´*name*´ -print > /tmp/filename . We grep and OPEN_INFILE the result to place in a logical table from where we can pick to load. If you need those macros contact me.

I have a macro that might work for you. Let me know I'll email it to you.

If you start a find-commando in a Unix-shell and you have to search in a lot of directories it can take a long time. I have the following solution: In the night an in the noon break a shell-script generates a list with all existing me10-files. My macro uses a script with a grep-commando to search in this list (and not more in the file system). It takes only a few seconds to get a result. If you like I can send the macros and shell-scripts to you. Regards from Germany Wolfgang
