Here's something interesting I discovered. On the Omnibook laptops we use we often see mouse trails after installing Modeling. These are trails of mouse cursors on the 3D viewport caused by driver problems. In the past I have set PIXEL_FORMAT=SOFTWARE to get rid of them. I have found that if I install 11.6 on one of these laptops, I get the mouse trails. However, if I reboot they go away even though I haven't changed anything. Just thought I would let people know. If you get mouse trails after installing, you might try rebooting before taking any other action.
