I would like to know why the pro E module file extension is *.anf while pro E parts are sent to us as *.prt.1 or *.asm.1. Is there are reason for this? If i chane the file type to all files, I still cannot import these *.prt.1 files. Is there an updated pro E module license? I'm running 11.6B.
Anyone have a similar issue?

John,
The “anf” file is a neutral format. You need some plug in software on the ProE side and it will then take anf in/out.
If you have more questions on this, open a call with support.

The ProE Adapter is "tuned" to the direction of the transfer. Going from ProE to OSD Modeling, the file extension is .anf
Going from OSD Modeling to ProE, the extension is .anf-proe

The extension thus helps determine if the file is for OSD Modeling import or ProE import.

Hi Gary,

Can you suggest what additional software/module which sits on Pro/e for export as .anf file.

Thanks,

Venkat

Venkat,
You will need to purchase the Pro-E Data Adapter. Once you have this, you will get the plug in for Pro-E.
Please contact your sales person with any questions.
Gary.
