We get this a lot in our prints, where we'd like to attach a datum flag to a leader line, be it a reference line or dimension leader. Currently, we just make a bit of geometry and overlay it on the leader so it doesn't print out, but if we move the dimension it doesn't follow.

I'm not sure it will work with leader lines, but you might try the Projected Line goody. Here is what the help says.
Projected Lines in SD ANNOTATION
Activation
UNIX: (load "goodies/projected_line")
NT: (load "projected_line")

Description
This command allows users to create a projected line which is associative to the base geometry that is used to define it and which extends this base line to a given point. You can for example use this line later to attach datum symbols to it.

How to use it
1. Specify the line element to project to.

2. Specify the end point of the newly created projected line.

3. Add additional elements to the newly created projected line or to its sketch.

Since OSDD and OSD 11.5 it's possible to create reflines associative attched to dimensions (dimline, extensionlines and dim text)

I'll have to look at both options once I get a seat of OSD 11.6 in-house for testing (hopefully in the next couple of months). We're currently still running SD 9.01D, with probably about half a year to go until we finally migrate to 11.6.

Thanks for your help.

I think the Projected Line goody is included in version 9.01. Give it a try.
