Have you ever wondered what all those tiny little icons in the browser windows mean?
You can print the attached 2 page PDF and hang it near your PC as a reference. I handed this out at a previous No Cal User Group meeting, but I have updated it to include some of the new Simplification related icons in version 11.6.

Hi,
description for browser icons also available in the OSDM (11.60) help:
JavaHelp (toc): Hints and Tips/Browser Icons (Windows)
or
HTML Help: <install dir>/help/english/pesd.ht/tips/browser_icons.html

Hmmm. That looks suspiciously like my tables. ;)
I didn't realize that this had been added to the official documentation. I will leave my original post, but would recommend that people use the referenced help page instead of the PDFs I posted. The help page includes several icons that I don't have in my tables. I'm glad to see that CoCreate is now providing this as part of the official Help.
It would be nice if there was an easier way to get to this help page. How about a button in the Browser's right click menu which takes you directly to that page?

Both the official chart and John's "unofficial, unapproved, and unbelievably handy" chart :D do NOT show all the different Machining feature icons. Until this thread came up, I hadn't really absorbed that when you create a tapped hole (via the Machining Module) OSDM puts a different icon in the Browser than if you create a countersunk through hole. Each of the 13 feature types has a unique icon that will appear in the Browser when you add that feature to one of your parts.
Attached is a screenshot of a part with two different Machining features in the Browser.

Hi John,
the context help for the structure browser leads you - ok with a little effort - to the icon description. On Windows: press right mouse button; select the help item in the appearing context menu. This causes the help browser to show the help entries for 'Using the Structure Browser'. And if you scroll down some lines ;-) you will find the link to 'OneSpace Designer Browser Icons on Windows - Legend'. Ok, there should be a shorter way ...
