Hello,
I've been using OSD for awhile now, but haven't as yet had to do any sheet metal work. I'm trying the sheet metal module out and have discovered (to my chagrin) that Annotation apparently cannot properly flatten a model that also has machined features such as chamfers or pockets.
Since there's no problem flattening in 3-D (weird, if it works in 3-D why not in Annotation), our VAR recommended a workaround involving two solids that you change in tandem, with a virtual assembly etc. It kinda does the job, but is pretty lame considering that CAD systems costing a bunch less can do this kind of stuff properly in their basic packages.
Or has our VAR totally missed something, and there is a way to do this? Would appreciate any assistance.
Best,
Jim E.
