MEIs V14 fails installation

Hi all,
We just attemped to upgrade to Modeling 2006 from 2005. This required us to upgrade the MEIs server from V13 to V14. However, when we tried to install the new V14 MEls service, we immediately received an error saying that "The wizard was interrupted" and that the service was not installed.

We're running WIN 2003 Server, logged in as the administator. We've stopped the V13 service and uninstalled V13 using add/remove programs before attempting to install V14.

Anyone have any clues as to what we're doing wrong?

We figured out the problem....Turns out that you MUST NOT uninstall the old MEls version prior to installing the new one.

We re-installed the old (V13) MEls and then installed the new version (V14) and everything went smoothly.
