When printing to some printers, I get an error that says "Plot does not fit on selected paper area (maximum plot scale is -1.001)."

When I click OK it prints anyway, but part of the print is cut off (if I hit Esc. it still prints anyway). The print still has a lot of blank space on it.

If I print and select fit there is still a lot of blank space at the margins.

I recall seeing some documentation that said it was possible to take control over these hard margins through ME10, but I didn't quite understand how to implement it (I think it was targeted at Unix).

I am using OSDd v11.0b, on Win2000. Though it's not the only one, the specific printer I'm trying to whip into shape is a HP DesignJet 750C. Even with the paper set to Oversize ANSI, it seems there is a lot of blank paper.

Any advice?
Thanks.

We see something similar when printing drawings from both Drafting and Annotation, even if we don't get the "Plot does not fit ..." message. Sometimes one of the bounding lines of the frame/border will not be printed, even if you set the scale to Fit. Only a small amount, maybe a few dots wide, is not printed, but the drawing does not look right.

We reported this to CoCreate several years back, but their response was that it was a problem with the printer drivers, not their printing algorithms. We did some tests and found that if we printed the same drawing with the same settings to several printers, some of them would cut off one edge of the frame and others would not. So this confirmed that it was related to the print driver. But it would have been nice if CoCreate could provide a fix that would avoid the problem since there is not much chance of getting the Printer manufacturers to fix their drivers.
