Hi! I'm using SD/Annotation 9.01.

I have made a model change that has dissassociated some dimensions. I can tell as little triangles have appeared where the dims used to attach to geometry.

I click on "Modify Dimensions" and then "Reattach Dimensions". The disassociated dimensions turn red, and I am prompted to click on a dimension to reattach.

But when I click on it, I can't seem to do anything to it to make it reattach to geometry.

The online help is not very helpful, only saying:

To reattach a dimension:

Click Modify Dim in the main menu.
Click Reattach Dim (under Positioning).
Click the dimension text to reattach, define a selection box, or use the Select tool.
Continue reattaching dimensions or click OK to complete the operation.

What are the actual clicks to re-attach a dimension?

I've used Keep Text, under Modify Dimensions - Vertex. Select the dimension, select the triangle or leader line that's detached, then select where it should go. I've never been able to get the Reattach Dimension command to work (maybe I'm just overlooking something obvious!).

I agree with May - that's the way I do it, and I've never figured out what Reattach Dimension is suppossed to do.

it may not be much help to you Steve, but in 11.5 this works well for me:
Click on the dimension to change (pre-select)
Right click.
Pick Move Dimension Vertex (custom added to right click menu)
Pick the leg of the dimension I want to move then the element I want it attached to (unless it's a dimension or radius, then just pick the new element).
