I would like additional functionality added to clipping planes such that a user can specify wheter or not a clipping plane will exclude one or all shared parts and a user can specify included and exluded parts per clipping plane.

I also would like excluded / included parts per clipping plane.
I have no remarks about shared parts etc. My industry is precision instruments which have few common parts.

In Modeling, you have this capablitly within the Viewport Settings > Clip Planes Setttings > Model Clipping menu: Clipping Targets - Include or Exclude Selected Parts. See image below.

David.

I'm still working with rev 13.2
Are you saying that now, post rev 13.2, you can select parts to show in section or not, on a plane per plane basis? i.e, with 2 vp's ,both clipping on, both showing the same parts but i can select not to section in one vp and to section in the other?

Hello Tim:

I got ya now... you want to individually control each Clip Plane's clipping-target part selection (Include or Exclude). Today, it's applied to all six planes but not individually (plane per plane basis).

This is a great enhancement request for clip plane functionality that can easily be explained (well, maybe explained twice ;).

Are you on Support? If so, through eSupport Marketplace you can submit this "product suggestion" and I would advice others to do so as well... this way CoCreate can prioritize this product suggestion for next release (minor or major)
