Post prematurely shown as read.

When I get a few free moments, I like to jump over to CAUG Forums to see what's new. Unfortunately, even though I often leave before viewing all the posts, next time I come back they all show as read (or at least aren't highlighted to grab my attention).
I didn't see a setting in my User Options that affects this.
Did I miss it?
Is there a Forum level setting that could be set?

I have found the safest way to make sure you don't miss anything is to open the forum, click View New Posts, read them all, then close the browser window. If you leave it open for a long period of time, it does seem to reset and lose memory of the posts you haven't read. This is definitely one aspect of vBulletin that I don't like, I wish it would remember exactly what you have read the way USENET newsgroups did. I don't know if this will be improved in version 3.

You might want to read the "How to View the New Posts" post in Getting Started... (http://www.cocreateusers.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8) for some tips. This is the method I use and it works for me, but if anyone has found other techniques, please post them and I will add them to this thread (giving you credit of course).
