Stefano,
enter
(prim-vp-set-autoredraw-flag nil)
in the SolidDesigner command line to suppress further automatic redraws caused by "expose" messages sent by the operating system. This can be very useful when working with very large assemblies or when using relatively slow graphics hardware.
Hope this helps,
Claus

Stefano,
we introduced this feature in SolidDesigner 7.0. Upgrading to the latest code (right now, version 7.1) is absolutely recommended. You will find that in the new code graphics performance will be several factors better than in 4.0, so graphics will probably be so fast that you do not even have to use the special trick to suppress redraws anymore!
Claus
