When creating a section view of a assembly which has pressed in parts (example a block with a short shaft pressed in to it), annotator does not hatch the block if the 3D parts were modeled with a slight interferance (for press fit). Also I can not find a way to delete hatch from a portion of the assembly.

Hi Dan, the missing hatchs may be caused by an 'open contour', that is, since some of the 3D edges are covered (due to the interference) they weren't derived to 2D and thus a non-closed hatch contour was created. There are two possibilities to prevent the missing hatch (in this case). Either you ensure that hidden lines should be drawn or you prevent the interference of the bodies. So far there is no functionality to prevent the automatic hatch creation of a portion of an assembly. The only thing which is possible is to de-activate the creation within a whole view by entering the following command on the command line: (auto-section-hatch nil) ;; to de-activate (auto-section-hatch t) ;; to activate Another possibility is to write a function using the Annotation's integration kit stuff with which you can remove hatches. BUT: the next update of a such treated view will bring the hatchs back. Hope this helps. Andreas
