we are looking for better software to enhance our sheetmetal punching dept. We would like the transition from SD, Me10 to be as seemless as possible. Hints, suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Randal,<p> I'm not sure what kind of enhancements you are looking for, but have you looked at our SheetAdvisor module for SolidDesigner? See http://www.cocreate.com/english/products/3d/psa.htm for some more information.<p> Claus

If your looking to take the flat drawing from within SD / ME10 into a punch machine, your still going to need a CAD package that can make the G-Code for the processor on our machine. Sheet-Advisor nor SD will go direct into the processor. However, Sheet-Advisor does make the design and unfolding ALOT simpler and faster. There is a CAM package the will read in the Tool Database from within Sheet-Advisor, thus making the G-Code creation faster. What that package is, I can't remember the name of it. A vending manufacturing company uses it and is a customer of United CAD/CAM Systems. However, nevertheless, you will need to pass the file over to a CAM package. I do recommend Sheet-Advisor as a design tool as well as a Manufacturing Engineering tool.
