Layouts of Parts/Assemblies

Missing lines/arcs and or splines when generating 2D Layouts of complex Parts/Assemblies. Also extra line entities of Parts/Assemblies when they should be invisible hidden lines (Hidden line mode NONE). Why does SD has so much problems in creating accurate 2D layout? The following setting for the Layout is as follows: HIDDEN LINE CAL = YES, HIDDEN LINE MODE = NONE, TANGENT EDGE CAL = YES, TANGENT EDGE DISPLAY = YES! Does anyone have any ideas?

Daniel,<p> which version of SolidDesigner are you using? I am asking because there have been quality enhancements in the layout area over time which might help in your case.<p> Claus

I have experienced similar problems when some of the parts in an assembly interfer with each other; such as a press fit pin. Also, a part having some corrupt areas will cause this. If this is occuring with a section view, try remachining any holes or coring that the section is cutting through.

What is the using SolidDesigner Revision? if you use the SD 4.01, I hope that upgrade to SD4.5 or SD5.0. And check layout accuracy setup, SD has the default 2D layout resolution 0.001, so if you can change the resolution like this: (set-layout-option-2d :resolution 0.0001). and refer to the Gary Linscheid reply. thanks
